Position Overview The Senior Specialist Oral and Dental Surgeon will lead complex surgical interventions in oral and maxillofacial procedures, providing expert clinical care and mentoring junior staff.
This role demands a high level of surgical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a patient-focused approach within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities Conduct advanced assessments of patients requiring surgical intervention in oral and dental health.
Plan and perform complex surgical procedures including implants, reconstructive surgery, and orthognathic corrections.
Oversee postoperative management and ensure optimal patient recovery and satisfaction.
Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to junior surgeons and dental staff.
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive treatment plans.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of innovations in oral and maxillofacial surgery and integrate best practices into clinical care.
Private Health Insurance Training & Development Performance Bonus Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) with specialist certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Extensive experience in complex oral and dental surgical procedures, particularly in a private healthcare setting.
Valid and active license to practice dental surgery in the relevant jurisdiction.
Proven leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and guide clinical teams.
Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
